The pilot project aims to investigate the practical aspects of integrating working energy systems at sea and producing hydrogen in an offshore environment, to see how offshore conditions, including salt, affect the electrolyser.
The PosHYdon pilot kicked off the onshore test successfully at the premises of InVesta in Alkmaar. PosHYdon aims to produce green hydrogen on an operational gas platform in the Dutch North Sea.
Prime Minister Rutte will pay a working visit to the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam and various locations in the North Sea. His visit will be all about the energy-transition. Of course PosHYdon will be included on this day.
PosHYdon is an initiative of Nexstep, the Dutch association for decommissioning and reuse, and TNO, the Dutch organisation for applied scientific research, in close collaboration with the sector. Many partners are collaborating with us in the PosHYdon project.
